HOW CONSIGNMENT WORKS AT NONI’S CHILDREN’S STORE

Thank you for your interest in consigning with Noni’s Children’s Store! We are grateful for the opportunity to help families give their gently used children’s items a new home. Consigning with us is a wonderful way to earn store credit or payment while helping other families find quality children’s items at affordable prices.

STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR ITEMS

Please choose clean, gently used children’s items that are in excellent condition. Items should be freshly washed, laid flat, and free from stains, odors, pet hair, heavy wear, fading, missing pieces, or battery corrosion.

We accept children’s clothing, shoes, toys, books, baby equipment, and more based on season, safety, current store needs, and available space.

STEP 2: WALK-IN CONSIGNMENTS

Walk-in consignments are welcome Tuesday through Saturday for 15 items or less.

We kindly ask that you select your 15 best items before arriving. Our team will review only the 15 items presented.

If you have more than 15 items, we would be happy to schedule an appointment.

STEP 3: CONSIGNMENT APPOINTMENTS

Consignment appointments are scheduled in 45-minute blocks.

For clothing appointments, quantity is limited to a maximum of 2 laundry totes. Items should be neatly folded or laid flat in totes so our team can review them carefully and efficiently. We can also take larger baby equipment items separately 

Please do not bring items in garbage bags, on hangers, out of season, or over-flowing  bins.

STEP 4: ITEM REVIEW

Our team will carefully review your items and select what we are able to accept at that time.

Items may be declined due to condition, season, available space, recalls, missing pieces, safety concerns, or current inventory needs.

Any items we are unable to accept must be picked up by the end of the same business day. We are not able to hold passed items overnight.

To help us keep our processing area organized, any items passed on that are not picked up by the end of the day will be considered abandoned and will become the property of Noni’s Children’s Store.

STEP 5: YOUR ITEMS GO ON THE SALES FLOOR

Accepted items are priced by Noni’s and placed on the sales floor.

The consignment period is generally estimated at around 90 days. However, this timeframe may vary based on processing volume, available store space, seasonal demand, and current inventory needs.

After 60 days, items may be marked 30% off.

STEP 6: YOU EARN WHEN YOUR ITEMS SELL

When your items sell, you receive 40% of the selling price.

Noni’s keeps 60% to cover pricing, tagging, displaying, selling, processing, and store expenses.

Earnings are added to your consignor account as items sell.

STEP 7: USE YOUR CREDIT OR RECEIVE PAYMENT

Consignor earnings may be used as store credit toward purchases at Noni’s Children’s Store.

When consignor credit is used in the store, you receive 15% off your purchase.

If you prefer to receive a payout, payments under $25 are paid in cash. Payments of $25 or more are paid by check.

CONSIGNMENT SEASONS

We accept items based on the current season and items families are shopping for at that time.

FALL AND WINTER SEASON

We begin accepting fall and winter items the first week of August.

Items we typically look for during fall and winter include long sleeve tops, pants, jeans, sweaters, hoodies, jackets, coats, boots, cold-weather pajamas, and winter accessories.

SPRING AND SUMMER SEASON

We begin accepting spring and summer items the last week of January.

Items we typically look for during spring and summer include short sleeve tops, shorts, dresses, skirts, rompers, swimsuits, sandals, Crocs, water shoes, lightweight pajamas, and warm-weather items.

IMPORTANT CONSIGNMENT NOTES

We do not accept cribs or car seats.

Books are accepted as sets or bundled board books.

Baby clothing 12 months and under is best accepted in sets, except for sleepers, rompers, and onesies.

All items are accepted based on season, condition, safety, available space, and current store needs.
